Installing and Using PAF for Palm |

Finding PAF for Palm (not as easy as it sounds!) To download PAF for Palm, click here, and once you're connected to the Family Search website, scroll ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. If you can't find the section labeled PAF Data Viewer for Palm Handhelds, you haven't scrolled far enough down the page. Remember that you have to install the program on a desktop/laptop machine that can connect to your Palm OS device, then HotSync to your Palm, before trying to download a database into your Palm. You can't install and download a database in one HotSync session. (We apologize for all this red type -- but many people seem to have difficulty finding and installing this program.) Our free tutorials PAF for Palm comes without a users guide.. You'll probably want some instructions! We wrote the instructions linked below because we had difficulty installing and using the program without a users guide -- so we muddled our way into the software and worked with the program long enough to understand it, and then wrote the guide. Click on the links below to access the files. You will need a current version the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the PDF file.
